Lakes By the Bay Park

Lakes By the Bay Park is a 45-acre multi-use park located on SW 216th Street, one block east of SW 87th Avenue (directly behind Whigham Elementary School). The park is also adjacent to a 47-acre Miami-Dade County Park.
Amenities
The Town’s portion of Lakes By the Bay Park consists of three lighted baseball/softball fields, 4 batting cages, two lighted soccer/football/lacrosse fields, a .6 mile exercise path with fitness stations, covered playground, restroom/concession building and paved parking for approximately 100 vehicles.
Canoe/Kayak Launch
In December of 2020, a canoe/kayak launch, along with three pavilions and other amenities were opened at the park. To access the canoe/kayak launch, you may go through the entrance located on SW 85 Avenue (south of SW 212 street) or you may park at Lakes by the Bay Park (8551 SW 216 Street) and take the short trail located at the north end of the parking lot.

Youth Sports Leagues
The park is heavily utilized by the youth sports leagues including:
- Youth Baseball and Softball League (Perrine Baseball and Softball Association)
- Youth Soccer League (Albion Soccer Club, formerly Cutler Ridge Soccer Club)
- Youth Flag Football League (Under Armour Flag Football)
Baseball Fields Use Policy
Individual, Non-Organized or Small Groups of Residents are welcome to use the baseball fields at Lakes by the Bay Park at no cost as long as the fields are not already reserved by a league, school, or organization. To ensure availability and avoid conflicts, all casual use must be confirmed in advance with our Parks and Recreation Department. Leagues and organized groups may reserve fields for a fee, which covers preparation such as dragging and lining.
