Old Cutler Road Improvements Project The Town of Cutler Bay, through a Joint Participation Agreement with Miami-Dade County's Public Works Department, has embarked upon the reconstruction of the town's historically designated Old Cutler Road, between Southwest 97 Avenue to Southwest 87 Avenue. The project will include the following: new street lighting, stormwater drainage structures, native landscaping, bus benches/shelters, shared-use bike path, and roadway reconstruction/resurfacing throughout this corridor. The total project cost is approximately $7.5 million. The roadway construction project commenced in December 2011 and is scheduled to continue through the fall of 2013.

Drivers may experience "TEMPORARY" lane closures on weekdays between the "non-peak" traffic hours of 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. in order for the town's contractor to install new stormwater drainage structures.
Town residents and/or business owners interested in obtaining detailed information regarding the town's Old Cutler Roadway Improvements project can visit town hall on the second Tuesday of each month commencing January 10, 2012 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to meet one-on-one with the town's project engineer. Town of Cutler Bay Charter Review Members of the Town of Cutler Bay's Charter Revision Commission have been meeting since December 14, 2011 to review the town's charter and vote on potential changes. Attached are the summary report and recommendations to be presented to the council for review on its April 18, 2012 regular agenda together with the working draft of approved changes from the April 12, 2012 commission meeting. Scriveners' errors, fonts and format as well as maps and historical notes approved by the commission will be rectified prior to finalization.
Please note that final approval on any amendments to the charter lies with the voters and that any amendment can be placed on an election ballot in conjunction with Miami-Dade County’s on November 6, 2012 ballot for approval by the electorate.
