Cutler Bay Celebrates Excellence in Youth Sports with Dual Proclamations

CUTLER BAY, [January 17, 2024] — The Town of Cutler Bay proudly honors the outstanding achievements of two remarkable teams from the Palmetto Raiders Youth Development Club, Inc. during the recent Town Council Meeting. Mayor Tim Meerbott, on behalf of the Town Council and citizens of Cutler Bay, presented dual proclamations recognizing the exemplary accomplishments of the Palmetto Raiders 10U Football Team and the Varsity Dance/Pom Squad.

National Champions: Palmetto Raiders 10U Football Team

The Palmetto Raiders 10U Football Team's journey to success captured the community's hearts. In October 2023, they clinched the Miami Championship against the Overtown Tornados, securing their spot in the region playoffs. After a remarkable series of wins, the Raiders continued their victorious streak, ultimately emerging as the Pop Warner 2023 Superbowl National Champions in December 2023.

In the realm of dance and pom, the Varsity Dance/Pom Squad showcased their talent and dedication. Winning first place at the Greater Miami-South Florida Pop Warner 2023 Cheer/Dance Competition in October 2023, the squad secured the National Championship in Orlando. Mayor Tim Meerbott commended the squad, stating, "The Varsity Dance/Pom Squad's grace and precision in their performances bring honor to Cutler Bay. We present this proclamation in celebration of their well-deserved national title."
