Program Overview:

To provide financial relief for its residents and in support of its small businesses, the Town of Cutler Bay (the "Town") will issue $500 Cutler Bay Cash eGift Cardsin the form of a digital MasterCard—to approximately the first 300 qualifying Cutler Bay residents who apply on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of one per household/address. The eGift Cards are redeemable only at participating small businesses within the Town limits of Cutler Bay, who have applied to be vendors of this program, and have been verified and activated.

The Cutler Bay Cash eGift Card program (the "Program") is deliberately designed to help revitalize our local economy and support our small business community. Providing residents who have suffered a pandemic-related financial hardship with a $500 eGift Card and limiting its use to participating small businesses within the Town not only provides relief to residents in need, but promotes local economic development. The program rapidly injects nearly $150,000 into our small business community and initiates a "shop local" effort that keeps local dollars local.

This is the third COVID-19 relief Program developed by the Town—made possible through funding from the Federal CARES Act of 2020 allocated to the Town by Miami-Dade County. The Town is required to distribute funds by September 30, 2021.

Cutler Bay Cash Limitations:

  • Must be used for costs/services which fulfill needs that were caused by the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Can only be used at participating locations;
  • Cannot be “cashed-out” in any way;
  • Cannot be used to purchase tobacco and/or alcohol;
  • Cannot be used for any form of gratuity (tipping);
  • Once disbursed, all eGift Cards must be spent by December 30, 2021.
