Cutler Bay Celebrates Florida City Week with Civic Education and Community Services
Cutler Bay, FL - October 15, 2025 - The Town of Cutler Bay is joining municipalities across the state in celebrating Florida City Week, October 20–26, 2025. Hosted by the Florida League of Cities, this annual observance highlights the important role municipal government plays in everyday life and encourages civic engagement, collaboration, and volunteerism.
To help residents better understand how cities function and how local government directly serves them, the Town will share educational videos from the Florida League of Cities throughout the week. These short, two-minute videos offer must-know insights on how cities operate, from budgeting and infrastructure to public safety and community development.
“Municipal government is the level of government closest to the people,” said Town Manager Rafael G. Casals. “Florida City Week gives us the opportunity to remind residents how their local government works for them every day, while also offering practical ways to engage with the Town and access important services.”
In addition to educational outreach, the Town will host two community events designed to empower residents with valuable resources:
Unclaimed Property Workshop

Could you have money waiting for you? In partnership with the State of Florida’s Chief Financial Officer, this free workshop helps residents and business owners search for and claim unclaimed funds or property held by the state. The Town, in collaboration with Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, is making it easier than ever for residents to handle driver’s license and identification needs right here in Cutler Bay. The Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW) team will be on-site offering services such as renewals, replacements, out-of-state transfers, address or name changes, and more.
