Golf Cart Parade Participation Rules
CUTLER RIDGE PARK HOLIDAY GOLF CART PARADE PARTICIPATION RULES
SHERIFF’S OFFICE PERSONNEL AND/OR TOWN PARK STAFF: Shall have sole discretion to disqualify any participant(s), golf cart or motorized vehicle, prior to/or during the parade, should there be any safety concerns or non-compliance with the established rules.
GOLF CARTS: Approved golf carts will be operated by a driver with a valid driver's license.
THEME: All golf carts and approved specialty vehicles will be decorated in the theme associated with the golf cart parade event. All displays will be in good taste, suitable for families, show respect to other participants, and contribute to the overall entertainment value of the holiday golf cart parade.
MUSIC: Upon arrival in the queuing area, all music will be lowered to a minimum to allow families, parents, and children to communicate with each other. All participants are encouraged to play music once the holiday golf cart parade is in motion, that is consistent with the event theme.
SPECIALTY VEHICLE: Generally, not approved for the holiday golf cart parade. However, if approved by special exception, it will be operated by a driver with a valid driver's license.
SPECIAL EXCEPTION: A person seeking special exception to participate in the holiday golf cart parade with a “specialty vehicle” must first request approval from the Town Park Event Coordinator, who may be contacted at (786) 573-5502, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. You may also visit www.cutlerbay-fl.gov/parksrec for more information. The participant must submit a photograph of the specialty vehicle to the Event Coordinator during the approval process. Requests for approval must be sought no later than a week prior to the event.
DISQUALIFYING VEHICLES: All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), Dirt Bikes, Side-by-Side Off-Road Vehicles, Electric and Motorized Bicycles, Go-Karts, Riding Lawn Mowers, and other similar types of vehicles designed for off-road use, as well as other recreational vehicles, are not allowed to participate.
RESTRICTIONS: No person shall operate any golf cart or vehicle while being under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substance pursuant to Florida Statute § 316.193.
SMALL GIFT ITEMS: No objects, candy, or small gift items will be thrown or hurled while the holiday golf cart parade is in motion. If desired, small gift items may be given hand to hand.
FIREARMS/FIREWORKS: No person shall discharge a firearm, noise maker, firework, or similar items at any time. This will cause immediate disqualification and removal from participation.
