Town of Cutler Bay Celebrates Successful Restoration Site Cleanup & Visioning Session

Cutler Bay Restoration Site Visioning Session

Cutler Bay, FL - April 16, 2024 - The Town of Cutler Bay extends its sincerest appreciation to all residents, organizations, elected officials, and representatives who participated in the recent Restoration Site Cleanup & Visioning Session on Saturday, April 6th. With over 60 attendees, the event marked a significant step forward in preserving our community's beauty and shaping the future of the 8.5-acre Town park.

Special thanks go out to the following governmental agencies for their collaboration: Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins representatives, South Florida Water Management District, and Miami-Dade County representatives from the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources and Division of Environmental Resources Management (DERM). We also want to thank Councilmember Richard Ramirez, the Town’s Youth Council Committee, and Livablecutler for their support. Additionally, we want to recognize volunteer students from the COAST Academy for Cutler Bay High School and Cutler Bay Middle School, Matter Academy, and Miami Southridge Senior High School’s National Honor Society.

For those who were unable to attend but still wish to share your input, we invite you to join us at our tents during the upcoming Wings Over the Bay Chicken Wing Cook-off event at Cutler Ridge Park on May 18th. This will be another opportunity to share your ideas about the 8.5-acre park and the 53-acre wetlands restoration project. Learn more about the 8.5-acre park project here and the 53-acre wetlands restoration project here. Together, let's continue working towards a greener, more connected community in Cutler Bay.
