Miami-Dade County Intersection Improvements to Old Cutler Road at SW 184 Street (and SW 152 Street)

Location:

The project is located at the intersection of Old Cutler Rd and SW 152nd Street and at the intersection of Old Cutler Rd and SW 184th Street within Miami-Dade County Commission District 8.

Estimated Start:

Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2022

Estimated Completion:

Project is anticipated to be completed in September 2023.

*The start and end dates of this work may be significantly impacted by labor and material shortages associated with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, as well as by weather events characteristic of the hurricane season.

Summary:

This Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works project has been initiated to reconstruct the existing Old Cutler Rd intersections and approaches at SW 152nd Street and Old Cutler Rd and SW 184th Street, including the installation of a roundabout at each of these intersections, roadway reconstruction, new sidewalks, new curb and gutters, drainage installation, street lighting, signalization removal, pavement signing and pavement markings.

Methodology and Efforts:

All efforts are being made to minimize the impact from the construction activities to area residents, schools, businesses, and motorists. The area will be restored to its original condition immediately upon the completion of the construction activities. The restoration activities will address any areas impacted by the project, such as grassy areas, landscaping and other items affected by the construction.
