County Offers Forgivable Loan Program to Help Small Businesses Not Receiving Other Previous Assistance

In a press release published yesterday, Miami-Dade County announced it is offering a Forgivable Loan Program to help those small businesses that are not receiving other previous assistance.

Approved by the Board of County Commissioners yesterday, the $5 million Small Business Assistance Forgivable Loan Program will offer small businesses up to $25,000.

To be eligible, the small business must meet certain criteria such as: having no more than 25 employees, providing some evidence of being impacted by COVID-19, and not previously having received assistance from other special COVID-19 programs, such as the federal Paycheck Protection Program.
