Caribbean Boulevard Roadway Improvements
The town's public works department has hosted public involvement workshops on October 5 and November 10, 2011. During these two workshops, both town staff and the project design engineers received comments from the public regarding the proposed Caribbean Boulevard Roadway Improvements project. Residents and/or business owners who were not able to attend either of the workshops can simply click on the link below for the presentation documents that were provided at the previously hosted meetings. Additionally, town residents and/or business owners interested in obtaining information regarding the Caribbean Boulevard Roadway Improvements Project can visit town hall every Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to speak one-and-one with the project engineer. The Cultural Council Inc.'s first annual concert to be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. Complimentary parking will be sponsored by Bill Ussery/Mercedes Benz, complimentary "tastings" by local caterers, and beverages will be provided.

FDOT Roadway Project 
Old Cutler Road Improvements Project
The Town of Cutler Bay, through a Joint Participation Agreement with Miami-Dade County's Public Works Department, has embarked upon the reconstruction of the town's historically designated Old Cutler Road, between Southwest 97 Avenue to Southwest 87 Avenue. The project will include the following: new street lighting, stormwater drainage structures, native landscaping, bus benches/shelters, shared-use bike path, and roadway reconstruction/resurfacing throughout this corridor. The total project cost is approximately $7.5 million. The roadway construction project commenced in December 2011 and is scheduled to continue through the fall of 2013. Drivers may experience "TEMPORARY" lane closures on weekdays between the "non-peak" traffic hours of 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. in order for the town's contractor to install new stormwater drainage structures. Town residents and/or business owners interested in obtaining detailed information regarding the town's Old Cutler Roadway Improvements project can visit town hall on the second Tuesday of each month commencing January 10, 2012 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to meet one-on-one with the town's project engineer. Rebate Program on Residential Appliance
REBATES MAY STILL BE AVAILABLE! Since the expiration of the Miami-Dade County Residential Appliance Rebate Program, it has been reopened. If you pre-registered between September 26 and October 10, 2011 and did not submit an application form by January 2, 2012, yoru registration number is no longer valid; however, rebates may still be available by visiting the following link for more information: http://green.miamidade.gov/ appliancerebate .htm Additionally, the Miami-Dade County Office of Sustainability is starting a rebate program for businesses and information is available on the following link: http://green.miamidade.gov/ business_rebates.htm
