Ed MacDougall is the Chairman and owner of Choice One Companies, a holding company for several corporations that operate within the real estate, finance, property/casualty and title insurance market. Ed has headed the company, which has locations in Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay, since 1981. Ed Graduated from Florida International University with a degree in criminal justice. Studies included constitutional law, criminal and civil law. Ed has also taught mathematics at Miami-Dade College. Ed MacDougall retired from the Miami-Dade Police Department (Cutler Ridge District) as a sergeant, having been an officer for 12 years. During his police career, he had served as a patrol officer, undercover narcotics officer, motorcycle officer and burglary detective. Ed MacDougall is a Vietnam combat veteran (Airborne) who also served as vice chair of the Cutler Bay Municipal Advisory Committee, and chairman of the Cutler Bay charter committee. Raised in Cutler Ridge and a third-generation Miami-Dade County resident, Ed MacDougall is married to his wife Bobbi (42 years) and has two children and four grandchildren, all residing in Cutler Bay.
