Steven J. Alexander was officially hired on July 29, 2006. Mr. Alexander was serving as Interim Town Manager for Cutler Bay since March 2006. Steven Alexander has more than 25 years of leadership experience in various areas of Florida government. His experience includes having provided professional services to the state of Florida, two Florida state universities and Broward County. Mr. Alexander recently served as assistant to the county administrator in Broward County. His experience in managing broad general governmental issues in scope and complexity is outstanding. Mr. Alexander has been entrusted by a state governor, the presidents of 2 public universities and many private companies, including the $56-billion publicly-traded Clear Channel Communications, to make the right decisions, hire the right people, raise enough money and build the right relationships to meet the various goals of these organizations. His success in making these decisions, obtaining the goals and being worthy of this trust has made him highly respected among his peers.
As Town Manager, Mr. Alexander is responsible for implementing the official policies of the Town Council and coordinating services to meet the needs of all who live, work and play in the Town of Cutler Bay. He and his professional staff provide support, guidance, communications and leadership to assure that quality municipal services are provided to all members of our community.
