2010 US Census
Every ten years, a Portrait of America is taken by the United States Census Bureau. The 2010 Census will provide a clear and detailed picture of our nation, and its results will be used to determine how federal tax money is spent in states and communities. Local governments use census data to determine what assistance is needed and where. If residents in our community go uncounted, it will directly affect the amount of federal tax dollars that our community will receive. In February and March 2010, Census questionnaires are being mailed or delivered to every residence. Who should fill out the census questionnaire? The individual in whose name the housing unit is owned or rented should complete the questionnaire on behalf of every person living in the residence, including relatives and non-relatives. For more information, go online to: US Census Turkey Point Siren Test

Cutler Bay is Silver Certified Green City by the FGBC
Recently, the Town was awarded a Silver designation from the Florida Green Building Coalition for its efforts of becoming a green city. Achieving this designation requires local governments to meet a comprehensive list of criteria focused on improving environmental performance and Cutler Bay accomplished this in unique ways. Cutler Bay has initiated the Green Moratorium, which makes the city the first in the southeast to establish building restrictions on commercial development. The moratorium requires new developments to participate in one of the multiple sustainability certification programs, including those of the FGBC or the USGBC. Text Your Help to Haiti
