Be a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer
The Guardian ad Litem Program is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life who are trained and empowered to advocate for the best interests of children involved in the child welfare system. In Miami-Dade County alone, there are almost 4,000 children in care, with only about 67% benefitting from a Guardian ad Litem. With a Guardian ad Litem by their side, children are less likely to languish in care, twice as likely to find a safe, permanent home and receive more targeted services. Volunteers provide a voice for our most vulnerable population. The goal is to provide every child in care a Guardian ad Litem and more community members committed to filling this very special role are needed. For more information on volunteering, please call 786-469-3864 or visit www.weareguardians.org
