County Mayor Gimenez Signs New Emergency Order
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez has signed a new Order that states for essential commercial and retail establishments that provide unpackaged food for consumption to limit capacity and monitor entrances and exits in areas where food is sold. It also orders closing of salad bars, self-serve food stations (except pre-packaged grab and go items) and encourages sanitary practices for employees and customers. Read the order here.
Council Member Coriat to Discuss Education During COVID-19 at Accelerate South Dade's Morning Huddle
Join Council Member Roger Coriat on Monday, April 6 at 10 a.m., on Accelerate South Dade's Morning Huddle virtual meeting. As the guest speaker, Council Member Coriat will discuss Education during the time of COVID-19 impacts. The virtual meeting is hosted on Zoom and can also be accessed by calling in and is open to anyone to listen in.
Accelerate South Dade is a small business and non-profit incubator in Cutler Bay that provides valuable workshops, information and networking opportunities for businesses in South Dade. They host their Morning Huddle every weekday morning at 10 a.m. to discuss current events and topics that are of value to businesses.
Building Department Payment Limitations
Beginning Monday, April 6, Building Department will only accept payment for any building-related transactions via checks or money orders. The Building Department will continue to schedule appointments 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday to Friday (no walk-ins). All other Town Hall Offices are closed to the public but may still be contacted via phone or email. Here are a few department numbers:
