DOH Confirms Two COVID-19 Cases in Cutler Bay
Per the Florida Department of Health's (DOH) report from today, two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Cutler Bay.
Staff from the DOH have stated that once someone tests positive in a testing site, they work with the CDC to trace and contact anyone that person with COVID-19 may have been in contact with in the last two weeks. Those contacts are informed that they must self isolate for 14 days while watching for symptoms. To help prevent yourself from being exposed, be sure to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, follow social distancing measures, clean high-touch surfaces often, and follow the "Safer at Home" guidelines. If you think you may have been exposed and have developed fever and symptoms such as coughing or difficulty breathing, call your doctor or your County Health Department. Tell them about your symptoms and your possible exposure. They will decide whether you need to be tested. Click here to learn more about what you should do if you develop symptoms.
